We speak the good food language

We offer homemade meals ranging from steak and ale pie to various curries to mouth watering steaks. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are available and our chefs are more than happy to accommodate any dietary requirements. Plus we have a daily special board.

Our homemade cheesecakes and brownies are a favourite with our customers and they vary from Maltese to mint aero white or dark chocolate flavours.

Sunday lunch – early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment as the restaurant can get very busy.

Where the flavor inebriates you

We pride ourselves on the quality and range of our ales. There is always a choice of three ales from our hand-drawn pumps. Our house ale is Rumney Export and we constantly rotate the other two ales to ensure a wide range of beers from local breweries as well as favourites from around the nation.

For lager lovers, we offer a choice of Coors, San Miguel and Carling on draught and a range of bottled lagers. And if you are a cider drinker you can choose from Stowford Press or Strongbow or Carling Black Fruits on draught or a wide choice of bottled fruit flavoured ciders, we also have Guiness on draught.

Not forgetting our extensive Gin collection including favourites such as Whitley Neill, Hendricks & Bombay Sapphire to name a few.

Had a meal on Sat 26th Oct 2019. We arrived at the pub to a really lovely reception from the land lord and bar staff. Although they had actually ran out of some off the menu due to being extremely busy the food we had was cooked perfectly and served well. We then stayed on for a good drink and made to feel very welcome. Landlord even arranged a taxi for us as we stayed later than planned due to good atmosphere. Lovely evening with friends and will definitely return as we enjoyed the food, drinks, welcome and atmosphere of the pub.

We used to live around the corner from this pub and visited a few times - the last time was in January when I visited with a mate. We both had food, I had the Cajun chicken and was blown away by how good it was. The flavour of the Cajun chicken was superb. It’s definitely one of the best local restaurants around, and has a friendly pub atmosphere too as we stayed for most of the evening having drinks after it.
