LOCAL ATTRACTIONS & SERVICES

SERVICES

We believe it is always helpful to know where all the nearest amenities are so below is a list of what we feel are on most people’s list

Local Pub

As you can see the bunkhouse is located above The Glantaff Inn, with a fantastic range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and with a lunch time and evening menu offering mouth-watering cuisine 7 days a week.

Train Station

Quakers Yard Train Station is a short 15-minute walk (or a 6 minute drive) with regular trains North to Merthyr Tydfil or South to Cardiff City Centre, there is no car park at this station but parking is allowed in the street above. If you need car parking, I would suggest using Abercynon Train Station, this offers the same routes but has ample parking and is only a 10-minute drive away.

Bike Storage

If you have bikes, outdoor walking equipment or other large items and would like to keep them in a secure dry location, please let us know. We have a designated area in our cellar with external access, where it will be locked securely in an alarmed area. Arrange with Steve a time to retrieve your bikes/items and he can meet you at the entrance as agreed.

On-Site Parking

Parking at the Glantaff Bunkhouse is situated outside the main pub either in the private parking bays or along the main road in front of pub. These car park areas are covered by CCTV, but no liability is offered.

Storage

There is a storage box underneath each bunk for individual private property – The middle box contains spare towels and bedding if required.

Tourist Information

The nearest is based in Merthyr Tydfil, however there are several leaflets for your use in the bunkhouse and we are always on hand to advise.
